Letter of intent,
Dear Internship Coordinator,
This letter is to express my interest in the summer internship which is being offered by your company. I have always had a strong interest in the field of communications while pursuing a bachelor’s degree at The College of New Jersey. In addition, my participation at TCNJ as a communications major has given me the opportunity to strengthen my interpersonal skills and public speaking. This position seems to be ideal for my experience and career interests and I am confident that I can contribute to your organization.
Because I am aware of the services and clients that you work with, such an internship would allow me to apply my skills obtained from work and academic experiences and bring an enthusiastic and fresh perspective to your company.
My resume highlights my recent experience of working within the field of media where I was able to strengthen my skills in writing and verbal communication. I have worked hard to maintain a high GPA earning Deans List honors for the last two years.
Along with my resume, I have attached letters of recommendations and school transcripts for your review. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to talking with you about the possibility of interning with your organization.
Sincerely,
Alexis Johnson

The Gift of Understanding...

If our world were only filled with perfect people, we would miss some of life's most important lessons along the way. We would never learn from adversity... from pain... from sorrow. Look not upon imperfections of your own and others... but look at the beauty... the great beauty of what it has to offer. Those are the people who inspire others and demonstrate the will to go on in a way that no "perfect" human could do. We all have been tested... and tired... and hurt... but we all have the power to never give up, and always continue to just BE. For there is no need to compare yourself to others, appreciate your own uniqueness and for you will feel satisfaction. Find your own way to truly accept yourself as you are, for there will never be another you! There is nothing to hide, and no need to pretend to be perfect or whole. Take the time to reach out to others... especially to the broken and discouraged... not only to love them but to learn from them as well. And never forget to listen...comfort... and give unconditional love to all who pass your way. And simply to realize that you are not the only one hurting... we all have pain in our lives... but that does not mean that you are not whole. Look into the hearts of others who touch your life and see their true colors. Most importantly, always remain childlike in appreciation for life. Slow yourself down... and always see the extraordinary in the ordinary and always wonder about that stranger that passes you by and how you can change their day. Never forget the beauty of a flower (my goodness nature is amazing!), don't forget the blessing of a friend, and GOD who gave us this life, and always remember to laugh along the way. Every day may not seem to be good, but there is GOOD in everyday.
